5 Steps to a Squeaky Clean Bathroom

With Spring Cleaning on its way, it is a sure bet that your bathroom could use some TLC. If your cabinets are overflowing, and you’re unable to make out the colors of your shower tiles, then your bathroom definitely needs some sprucing up. If the words “Spring Cleaning” leave you feeling overwhelmed, take a breath and follow Bathtime Innovations 5 simple steps

Toss

The first thing to do when cleaning your bathroom is to get rid of any old or unwanted items. Sometimes there are items in your bathroom that take up space for absolutely no reason. Go through every item in your bathroom and ask yourself whether you truly need it or not. Questions to ask yourself include: Is it a necessity? Does it add value? Does it act as storage space? Does it keep your bathroom organized? Finally, the last thing to remember: if you toss out items that you don’t need, you’ll have less to clean!

Dust

The next step is to dust off counter tops, the vent/fan, ceilings and corners. Don’t forget to also dust off any wall art that you have hanging in your bathroom. Many items can accumulate dust, therefore the best case scenario is to dust everything in sight. To prevent the accumulation of dust in the future, keep windows closed, change air filters every so often, use entrance mats, and clean regularly.

Wash

After dusting, it’s time to wash certain items including drapes or curtains, windows, and mirrors. Also, scrub down your toilet, bathtub and shower to make sure everything in sight is squeaky clean. A helpful tip is to use cotton swaps to get into tight corners. You’ll likely spend most of your spring cleaning time washing and cleaning off dirt, therefore consider playing music to make the experience more enjoyable.

Organize

Now that everything in your bathroom is clean, it is time to visit the items that you kept and re-organize their placement. Consider unique storage ideas, such as placing a towel basket on the floor or adding additional shelf space for toiletries. Since you have thrown out all the unnecessary items in step 1, it will be much easier to re-organize your bathroom space.
